Transition to integrated Gas & Renewable Energy

About TiGRE
TiGRE™, the Transition to integrated Gas and Renewable Energy, is a concept for the development and deployment of gas-fired power stations integrated with late – life offshore gas fields. Through this concept, natural gas production is monetised at source by converting to electricity and transmitting the power through existing offshore electricity transmission systems associated with existing offshore windfarms.
The exported electricity entering the national grid transmission system has the potential to balance supply and demand for electricity while maximising the efficient use of transmission infrastructure.
Baker Hughes GE (BHGE) and TiGRE Project Developments Ltd (TPDL) are undertaking a joint development through a special purpose company, TiGRE Project 1 Ltd (TP1). Under the development agreement, TP1 has been established as a vehicle to develop, construct and operate a TiGRE Project in the Southern North Sea. TPDL is a jointly owned company between TiGRE Project Services Ltd (TPSL) and Oxford Capital Partners managed investors. TPSL brings a wealth of experience in both North Sea Oil & Gas and Off shore renewable wind energy.
